Milwaukee-area shared plate restaurant honored for outstanding wine list

Shared plate restaurant I.d. inside the Delafield Hotel has been honored for its outstanding wine program in Wine Spectator’s 2020 Restaurant Awards. The annual program recognizes restaurants around the world as the top destinations for wine lovers. This is the third consecutive year I.d. has received the award.

“This year’s Wine Spectator Restaurant Award program celebrates restaurants’ resilience, dedication and bravery during these unprecedented times,” said Marvin R. Shanken, Editor and Publisher, Wine Spectator. “We hope that all of our award winners and the people who make them special will find their way through the crisis to once again welcome us through their doors. We look forward to raising a glass together, and to new beginnings.”

“I.d. Delafield is proud to be recognized with the Award of Excellence, an honor that we will celebrate with our employees and our guests,” said Brian Felleti, assistant general manager and sommelier at I.d. “Pairing incredible wines with one-of-a-kind dishes is what we do best - and we love doing it.”

Wine Spectator began its program to recognize the world’s best wine lists in 1981. I.d. has won the Award of Excellence, recognizing restaurants whose wine lists feature a well-chosen assortment of quality producers along with a thematic match to the menu in both price and style.

I.d. adds this to its growing list of awards and recognition, including Open Table's Diners' Choice Award.
